As Spring Training Opens, Tigers And Angels Betting Favorites

Every year, a team or two has the distinction of winning the imaginary award of best off-season in Major League Baseball. Last year, it was the Boston Red Sox that had the buzz going into spring training after signing Carl Crawford and trading for Adrian Gonzalez. This year, the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels have that distinction. The Angles made the biggest splash when they lured Albert Pujols away from the St. Louis Cardinals. The Tigers then followed closely behind, signing another former National league central slugger, Prince Fielder. The Angels are slightly ahead of the Tigers in terms of World Series betting odds, with odds of +650. In addition to Pujols, the Angels also signed free agent ace CJ Wilson.

With college basketballs March Madness just around the corner, golf presents their annual February Frenzy. The WGC Accenture Match Play event has become one of the biggest events of the year since its inception in 1999. Most of the worlds top 64 players are playing in this event with the notable exceptions of Phil Mickelson who is on vacation with his family and Paul Casey who is recovering from shoulder surgery. 2012 Miami Marlins Predictions

One of the biggest stories this offseason is all the noise the Miami Marlins, formerly the Florida Marlins,  are creating.  The Marlins finished a disappointing 72-90 last season, but a lot has changed since the end of last year. Ozzie Guillen has come over from the White Sox to become the new manager and ownership is spending money like crazy. Despite missing out on Albert Pujols and C.J.
