College Hoops Betting – Back the Home Dogged Sun Devils & Hawkeyes

Two of the best Top 25 games of the day have caught our watchful eyes here at BetUS Sportsbook. Check out our college hoops betting analysis for this duo of terrific duels.

Arizona Wildcats @ Arizona State Sun Devils

Game Date/Time: Sunday, February 13th, 9:00 ET Game Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Tempe, AZ TV/Radio Broadcast: Fox Sports Net National, Sirius

Arizona State is definitely an undersized team, and it definitely hasn’t played well in the Pac-10 this year in college hoops betting action. It only has one win to show for anything in conference play, and it really doesn’t have a great win all season long, save for perhaps the home triumph over the UAB Blazers way back on November 20th.

Meanwhile, Arizona has been on fire, winning 20 games this season, nine of which have come in the Pac-10, and it is clearly well on its way to a great seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

However, we tend to believe that this is the night of the Sun Devils. This is still a rivalry game and is still one that both of these teams get up for every season. ASU was embarrassed and outclassed in an 80-69 defeat in the first go around between these two, but what we have to remember is that it has lost its last four games by a combined 15 points. At some point, Head Coach Herb Sendek and company need to find another win. This may be their lucky night!

Minnesota Golden Gophers @ Iowa Hawkeyes

Game Date/Time: Sunday, February 13th, 6:00 ET Game Location: Carver Hawkeye Arena, Iowa City, IA TV/Radio Broadcast: Local TV, Sirius

The Golden Gophers might be in a tad bit of trouble in this one, especially if they are totally overlooking the abilities of the Hawkeyes. Minnesota was bounced at home thanks to a terrible second half against the Illinois Fighting Illini, dropping it to 16-8 this year and just 5-7 in conference. We know that its spot in the Top 25 is going to be taken away on Monday, and its spot in the NCAA Tournament might be taken away with a loss in this one as well.

Iowa has been a competitive team at times this year, sometimes much more so than people thought at the outset of the season. The Hawkeyes have done well in college hoops betting action of late, scoring two outright victories and a cover against the Wisconsin Badgers thanks to an OT defeat. Iowa also has that five point loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes to its credit.

The oddsmakers are going to give us far too many points in this one. Iowa should be a lot closer to a pick ‘em than the college hoops betting lines will probably suggest.
